The Spyda Wedge is a partial collaboration with Zellerfeld, the leading name in 3D printed footwear.
Based in Germany, Zellerfeld runs the show of 3D printed sneakers and dress shoes, who I was lucky enough to get in contact with to help develop my own sneaker wedge to add to their lineup.
I conducted research on their brand and their competitors, and found my Niche in the market that was missing. I wanted to create a platform wedge sneaker similar to that of New Rock sneakers, and give an alternative edge to the market.

The work went through rounds of development, between sketching, CAD, testing prototype prints, and back again. I had ideas to create a wide variety of works for their current lineup, from heels to boots to the wedge inspiration finally used.
The final design references a spider's web, pushing it into the digital world with a glitch-core attitude. The bottom sole features a striking and street-ready tread that seamlessly blends into the patterning on the lower side portion of the sole.
